  A big surprise The door creaked open. Not sure what was going on, I stepped inside. To my surprise, my mom was waiting for me. “Where were you all this while, honey?” she asked. “Oh, mom! I didn’t know you’d be waiting for me! I was just coming home from work, but the bus got delayed,” I replied. “Hmm… well, dinner is ready, so freshen up. I want to see you at the table in fifteen minutes,” she said, with a smile. After freshening up, I realized my bag was still in the living room. When I went to grab it, I saw my mom unpacking it. S he hated rodents, so I quickly took the bag, making sure the box inside was safe. “Mom, I can do it myself. It’s fine,” I said, hoping she wouldn’t suspect anything. “Okay, Daylla... TALES OF FORTNIGHT - THE ODD ONE _CHAPTER -1

A weird journey   I was sitting at a bus stop when a little girl came up to me. She gave me a strange smile and handed me a small box. It started trembling in my hands. I could hear a strange rumbling sound coming from the box. I looked up quickly to ask the girl what it was, but she’d disappeared. I looked at the box again and…. Opened it. I saw a crumpled piece of paper. It had blood stains on it and looked like it was about a hundred years old. I grew impatient. I had to know more. So, I opened it. To my horror, it was blank !! Was this some kind of a joke?  Just then I saw a woman approaching me with a bottle of water. She tripped over a  man and lost grip of her bottle. The crumpled piece of paper was now soaking wet. I stood up to give the woman a piece of my mind. But a tiny voice inside me stopped me. I looked at the piece of paper once again.
